日常使いの実用ハンカチです。そこには今治のタオル文化、そして自然にやさしいオーガニックコットンの風合い。

毎日の暮らしの中で、より快適にたのしい日常の脇役になりたいハンカチです。

タオルハンカチほどかさばらず、普通の綿ハンカチのように拭うとすぐビッショリならない、

ちょうどいいハイブリッドチーフです。

よく水を吸い、やさしい風合いで顔の汗も拭えます。

お洗濯もタオル同様、毎日大丈夫です。

日常使いの親しみやすい現代の綿チーフです。

 


What is the Imabari handkerchief 20?

 

In Imabari, industries have flourished together with cotton fabric making since the Edo Period.
And as the times have changed and there has been a shift from white cotton to cotton flannels and towels,
a large cotton fabric making industry continues to thrive. We have developed a product combining a towel muffler
and handkerchief as it is our desire for people to enjoy everyday living that much more with the soft fabrics
produced from Imabari’s gentle waters. Since 1893, our fabric making has maintained a methodical and
continuous process using only natural materials, and preserving the traditions created by our founder,
Gisaburo Miyazaki.

We make our products with cotton yarn produced from SUPIMA organic cotton of TAISHO BOSEKI Industries, Ltd. in Osaka.
As we would like to expand the Imabari name, a town with a history as a cotton fabric maker, we called our product Imabari handchief 20.

 

This handkerchief features a fabric that does not become soaked like an ordinary cotton handkerchief
after wiping or dabbing your skin and is less voluminous then a towel handkerchief. It absorbs water well
and you can feel the softness even when you wipe or dab perspiration from your face.

Since it only weighs 20g it offers convenience, and because it dries fast you can wash it everyday.

It is a modern cozy cotton handkerchief for daily use.

 

It is your companion from everyday living to walking, gardening, hiking and traveling.

すっと吸って、さっと乾く。

こんなハンカチを自分が使ってみたいと思い

市場を探しましたが、イメージの通りの商品は見つからず、

いまばりマフラー70の生地をハンカチ用に間隔や風合い

を作り直しました。

携帯にも軽くて、きれいに折り畳めます。

ポケットにもすっと入っていつでもタオルを携帯できます。

素材には、スーピマのオーガニックコットンを縦糸に

使うことで、しなやかで光沢のあるカラーに染め上がりました。

オーガニック特有のいつまでもやさしい風合いが続きます。

またヨコ糸には意図的にムラを作ったスラブ糸を織り込み、

ざっくりした風合いとコシを出しました。

手紡ぎのような自然な肌触りです。

お父さんからお母さん、おじいさんからおばあさん、

お子様まで老若男女、毎日の暮しの中で、やさしい

風合いのいまばりハンカチを楽しんでいただけますように。

2010年度　グッドデザイン賞を受賞いたしました。

以下のように評価されました。

タオルハンカチと小さな普通のハンカチの中間をゆく、日常使いの実用ハンカチである。

吸水性に優れ肌触りも良く、今治のタオル文化を背景としたバランスの良い商品である。

本商品は商品自体とそれを包むパッケージデザインなど視覚的に商品の質感とマインドをうまく顕在する事に

成功しており他と差がついた。
